What is Impact Learning?
Impact Learning is a highly experienced and specialised national and international training company.
We work within education to re-engineer the practice and culture for teaching
and driving effective learning, from Foundation to College, across all age, ability and social groups.
We work in partnership with grade one schools to those in special measures, in mainstream, special schools and sixth form colleges, in Inclusion Centres and Pupil Referral Units; we offer specialist courses for those working in Teacher Training, the Probation and Prison Service.
We provide a raft of inspirational and innovative in-service or residential training programmes branded Impact Learning.
We work in partnership with schools to:
 Drive and embed the teaching and application of thinking and learning skills within every area of the curriculum
Provide every student with word power; pragmatically secure reading, writing and communication skills across the curriculum
Radically increase the depth of knowledge, understanding and skills demonstrated by every practitioner
Increase cognitive engagement and challenge; reduce surface learning, passive learning, and underachievement across all age and ability groups
Directly involve parents
Impact Learning provides Head Teachers and Senior Leaders with a cohesive framework and pragmatic mechanism to teach, scaffold, sustain and secure effective learning for students, staff and families - consistently and comprehensively driven through a unique range of class based resources.
Working in partnership with schools, students are provided with a raft of specific effective learning skills, embedded within the curriculum.
These rapidly alter student attitude and aptitude, increasing cognitive engagement, motivation and aspiration. Through modelling lessons and working directly with teachers and students in the classroom, staff are equipped to move beyond teaching to the transference of knowledge, understanding and skills. Teachers manage learning to manage behaviour, reframing, reclaiming and reenergising learning across the whole school
and wider community.
Our programme is implemented in individual schools, clusters, or cohorts (Secondary and feeder schools).
Core Skills:
Impact Learning WordPower Express is a proven, combined Language, Literacy and learning programme. It provides all staff members with the critical, in depth knowledge and essential skills to enable reading and writing to be taught, rapidly improved and rigorously extended across the curriculum.
Parents:
We provide a pragmatic framework designed to engage parents directly in their child's learning.
In partnership with the school we work proactively to include parents and other members of the wider learning community, through specific training opportunities, family learning workshops and other tailored events.
Graphics:
We provide a unique, graphic design and display production service that enables schools to create, foster, reflect and emphasise the value of learning and the total professionalism embedded within your learning environment.
Classrooms become learning rooms; driving and facilitating effective learning for all.
